YJP NY/NJ Volunteer at Hoboken Shelter
One of the most basic pillars of Jainism is seva, which is selfless service to others. Doing seva not only allows us to help others in need and improve the community we live and work in; it also lets us grow spiritually and emotionally, and helps us appreciate everything.
We were proud to have helped touch lives of individuals who are going through a rough time as we volunteered at The Hoboken Shelter. We interacted with guests in spiritual discussions, played games, and provided resume/job-search tips. We prepared and cooked a 100% Jain vegetarian meal and served over 80 guests at the shelter.

Young Jain Professionals (YJP) New Jersey/New York had an amazing volunteer event serving over 80
Jain meals at the Hoboken Shelter!
